Terengganu Inscription Stone (Batu Bersurat) is a granite stele carrying classical Malay inscription in Jawi Script, found in Terengganu. The inscription dated 1303, Indicating Terengganu is the preferred choice by the Arab and Indian traders. Kuala Berang was also amongs the busiest port with traders from China buying Kayu Cendawan, Gaharu, and Elephant Task in exchange for gold and silverware. Admiral Cheng Ho visited Kuala Berang in the 16th century bringing with him 62 vessels. In the 19th century, Sungai Terengganu had about 200-300 perahu besar, carry out international trade with Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and islands of Indonesia.

PORT Port of Kemaman is one of the deepest seaport in Malaysia and a fast emerging port acting as the new gateway to the Asia-Pacific region. It is capable of handling vessels of up 150,000 DWT and various types of cargo ranging from general cargo, dry bulk and liquid bulk.
