Technical Scope

1. Scope :

• a. Design, supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, support and

training, for the upgrade of the NMC Data Centre Infrastructure for a period of three years.

2. Supplier’s responsibilities:

• a. Design, development, implementation, testing, installation,

commissioning, and support of the solution.

• b. Training and skills transfer on the operation, administration and

maintenance of the solution.

• c. Handover of solution documents (design, planning, maintenance,

administration and operation).

Product Risk and Final Scoring

• Product Risk Evaluation
• This stage of the evaluation allows the suppliers to demonstrate their

technical capabilities and clarify any risks that may have been identified in the desktop evaluation.

• This evaluation will be in the form of a site visit to the supplier’s

designated site, or that of one of their customers, or at an Eskom site (where possible).

• A list of questions (questionnaire) will be sent to the qualified

suppliers two weeks prior to the site visit.

General Clarification

• Section 2.9 – “The Tenderer shall submit an original tender, plus 1

complete hard copy of the original tender at tender submission deadline.”

• Soft copy on USB is recommended but remember:
• A hard copy is mandatory (evaluation is based only on hard copies)
• Soft copy is only for ease of access to information.
• A soft copy of the Schedule A/B can be provided and is recommended

to be completed and returned.

• N.B. Evidence must state the exact page of a submitted

document where the information is located.
