FORMAT OF PLAY

Both events to be played in two stages: First stage – Group of 4 (teams)

• Round-robin. Play all 3 ties
• Top 2 from each group proceed to Second Stage.

Second Stage – Single Knockout. Best of 3 ties Position matches to be played:

• Top 16 positions for Bicentennial Team
• Top 8 positions for Merdeka Team

*All matches to be played to the best of 3 games of 11 points

EVENT PROCEDURES

• TM to collect Team line-up sheet from Officials at

least 30 mins before start of each team match.

• TM to submit completed Team line-up sheet at

least 15 mins before start of each team match.

• Failing which, official shall fill up the team line-up

randomly

• A match shall be considered walkover if player(s)

is/are not present at the stipulated match timing. There shall be no grace period.

Important Rules & Regulations

• All matches shall be played on Follow-by basis.
• Official umpires provided only from Quarter-

Finals onwards

• Players to assist in keeping scores for the

matches in the earlier rounds

• From round of 32 onwards, the 2 singles

matches for Bicentennial team event shall be played concurrently.

Opening Ceremony @ 9am

• All teams to report by 8 am
• Teams playing in the 1st round of matches to

collect lineup sheet from respective official-in- charge and submit completed lineup sheets before 9 am

• Teams to proceed to playing table after

submission of lineup sheets

• Arrival of Guest-of-Honour (GOH)
• Matches to start upon sounding of air horn by

GOH

Prize Presentation @6.10pm (est)

• Immediately after completion of last match
• Prizes shall be awarded to:
• Top 32 teams for Bicentennial Team event
• Top 8 teams for Merdeka Team event
• All prize winners MUST be present in person

at the ceremony in proper attire (no singlets, slippers and sandals allowed) in order to receive the prizes.

OTHER INFORMATION

• Water dispensers provided. Please bring along

your own water bottles to refill water.

• No outside food and drinks to be consumed in

the Community Auditorium.
