Topic Criteria Eligible Applicants

  • $200,000 - $50M in annual revenue
  • 1 – 250 FT employees
  • Be an incorporated legal entity or an LLP
  • Have a CRA business number
  • No current/active CanExport projects

Eligible Activities

  • Promote international business development and must go beyond the

applicant’s core activities

  • These activities could include:

Business travel, Trade Fairs, Market research, marketing tools for a new market and Legal fees associated with a distribution/representation agreement

  • New markets only (cannot have had sales in-market in last 24 mos)

Funding Support

  • Reimburses up to 50% of eligible expenses (max. $99,999)
  • Applicant must match funds on a one-to-one basis
  • Applicants can only have one active application open at a time

CanExport:

A five-year (2015-19), $50-million GoC program that provides financial assistance to SMEs
