2019 Financial Results and 2020 Budget

  • In Jan. 2020, after a review with our Finance Committee,

PDR, our external Auditors completed their audit of the 2018-2019 Membership Year Audit results.

  • The Audit reported an “Unmodified Opinion”,

which means it was a clean audit.

  • Internal Control Over Financial Reporting – No material

weaknesses identified during the audit.

National Council Session Delegates

  • GSWCF is allowed 14 Delegates based on council
  • membership. We will also select 6 Alternate delegates.
  • Candidates are selected and nominated by the Board

Development Committee, approved by the Board of Directors, and voted in at the Annual Meeting.

  • Candidates nominated will be listed on the slate that is

included in the Call to Annual Meeting packet distributed to GSWCF delegates.

  • NCS Delegates represent and vote on behalf of GSWCF at

the National Council Session in October and serve a 3 year term.

  • The Early Alert that will contain the proposals for the

2020 National Council Session will be released by GSUSA.

Convention tickets & Hotels

Registration OPEN Feb. 18 for full-access tickets allowing convention entry Oct. 20-25! Options are:

  • Trendsetter - available until Mar. 31, is $345 per adult

and $295 per girl (grade 6 and up), and many special perks.

  • Early Bird – available Apr. 1-Jul. 31, also $345 per adult

and $295 per girl (grade 6 and up), with some additional benefits.

  • General admission – available Aug. 1-Oct. 16, is $395

per adult and $345 per girl, and includes a swag bag. Payment is not due in full! Deposits will be accepted for as little as $50 to lock in the Trendsetter and Early Bird

  • pricing. Final payment will be due Sept. 30.

FOR HOTELS… Five GSUSA-contracted hotels: 1. Hyatt Regency – The host hotel. Closest & largest. Connected by sky bridge. 2. Rosen Plaza – Connected by sky bridge. 3. Rosen Centre – Connected by sky bridge. 4. Embassy Suites by Hilton – includes breakfast. Prices start at $199. Hotel registration link will be provided in early March for those registered for the convention.

G.I.R.L. EXPO – Oct. 24-25

The G.I.R.L. EXPO—A Hall of Experiences is open to all— troops, girls, boys, & families—on Oct. 24-25. One-day tickets are available at a reduced rate until Oct. 23. Single tickets are $16 per person, a bundle of four tickets is $50, and a bundle of 10 tickets is $100. Events & Partnerships Bus Trip to Orlando

  • Saturday, Oct. 24
  • Visit the G.I.R.L. EXPO—A Hall of Experiences
  • Open to Girl Scout members only – girls and adults.
  • If interested visit gswcf.org/GIRL2020 to complete the

form for the Council Day Trip. We will follow up with you in March with complete details about this opportunity including cost of the trip.

The Dept. of Education grant allowed 150 Girl Scouts throughout Florida to attend Legislative Days at the Capitol Feb. 1-3. Girl Scout Day at the Capitol will feature all Florida councils on Feb. 26 in Tallahassee! Camp CEO – STEM will be June 26-28 at Florida Polytechnic Univ. Deadline to apply is May 22.

Fall product program was down $25,000 from goal.

  • Number of troops participating 721 troops

participating, up by 25 troops!

  • For 2020, the team is reevaluating dates of

program Cookies 2020 have 1,075 troops and 7,730 girls participating! Digital cookie sales have already exceeded year end for the previous year by over $40,000! GSWCF Troops are estimated to earn $1,733,943 for programs and activities! Sale ends March 8.

  • Family Partnership donations help support the mission by

funding financial assistance, program delivery, volunteer training, and more across the council.

  • Service Units have an annual goal, and when they exceed that

goal, they receive a portion of that money back to use at the SU level.

  • Troops and families can support

Family Partnership through a variety of programs: Daisy’s Circle, Carrot Club, and Penny the Pig.

  • This year’s campaign ends April
