installed in Centre for Public Policy and Development Management Studies Building, Hasanuddin University as a Counterpart.

Environment

• Semi-interactive site.
• On campus LAN is partially connected .
• The center has 15 PCs for self-education.
• External connectivity is dial-up connection.
• Classroom capacity is available up to 30

persons.

Problem:

• No connection is established between

Sony Box and UDL Receive Router, which is indicated by LED indicator of ‘LAN/act’

• n Sony Box is turn off.
• We can upload limited real time source:

Video and Audio because of insufficient BW

The problems occurred due to:

• Lightening strikes harm the Sony Box,

Router and Modem.

• External connectivity is dial-up connection

using modem that provide 56 Kbps. This is considered as insufficient.

Solution

• Install the good grounding system (Done)
• providing sufficient BW for the external

connectivity (in progress)
