Next Steps Early June The Special Initiative on Rebuilding and Resiliency report is released. Identifies the City’s response to climate change risks and plans for long-term rebuilding in hardest hit neighborhoods. July/August Phase 1 of the USACE beach replenishment starts at B87th to B149th. 600,000 CY of sand placed on beach. Summer/Fall 2013 Continuing community engagement to develop a proposal for shoreline line protection August/September Phase 2 of USACE beach replenishment from 19th to 149th begins. 3,500,000 CY of sand placed on beach. June 2015 USACE North Atlantic Coast Comprehensive Study of Flood Risk Reduction will be issued.
