Use of the School Portal (1) • Parent Portal closes midnight on 31 January 2019 • Birth certificate and any supporting documentation to be submitted by 12 noon on Friday 8 February 2019 • Information keyed by parents into Parent Portal is presented in the School Portal • Late applications – paper based

Use of the School Portal (2) • School Portal is web based – not C2K dependent • Shortcut to access School Portal being developed • ‘My School’ for those schools with C2K access • In Digital Admissions Hub for schools/playgroups without C2K access • Secure Login • User name/Password/E-mail Addresses for account to be issued to Schools/Playgroups • Target Date – Pre Christmas 2018

Use of the School Portal (3) • View online applications as they become available from early January 2019. NB you will see all applications keyed through the Parent Portal – not just first preferences. • Select (allocate)/Refuse applications but schools/playgroups cannot key applications to the School Portal • Export details of online applications for a variety of uses e.g. rank order applicants re admission criteria, merge duty to verify or placement letters, etc. • Alerts being developed to indicate an application needs actioned or that there has been a change in the status of existing application e.g. no longer required

Reporting/Printing • Still under development • Reports to show detail of set questions e.g. eldest child

Admissions - Business as Usual Admission Offices will continue to issue advice on matters such as:- • dates for return of preferences; • how to submit a return on paper applications; • the procedure for correcting information e.g a DOB keyed to the Parent Portal does not match the birth certificate submitted; and • the procedure for Stage 2 pre-school.
