Business (HND) City of Glasgow College 2 Highers in appropriate subjects such as Business Management, Modern Studies, Economics, English, History Applicants who achieve 3 Higher Grade passes may be able to access the Diploma of Higher Education in Business.

Dundee University 5 Highers at AAABB including Chemistry and another science subject plus English and Biology at Intermediate 2. Applicants are expected to demonstrate some knowledge of, and commitment to, medicine. Mechanical Engineering Herriot Watt University 4 or 5 Highers at AABB or BBBBC including Maths and Physics. Chemistry preferred. Strathclyde University 5 Highers at AAAAB (first sitting) or 6 Highers at AAAAAB (two sittings) including Maths at A or B and Physics. Advanced Higher Maths and Physics recommended.

Time out of School Most courses take place on Tues pm & Wed pm Involves dropping one school subject (still take another 4 school subjects ) Miss one period each week of one school subject A few courses are all day Mon, plus Tues pm, Wed pm and Thurs pm (still take 3 school subjects ) S4 Pupils MUST select 5 subjects at forthcoming Option Interviews

  36. Other Opportunities • All S5 pupils doing a vocational option do an Employability course in school • There are also some Friday morning options for S5 pupils who gain a place on the Vocational Programme • Some of the Friday courses may be suitable for S6 pupils

  37. Transport • Bus / taxi picks up from school • Courses run until 4pm • Return to school at about 4.20 pm • This transport is free • Pupils make their own way home from school
