Change Order Rock Slope Stability Efforts
- Contract objective:
– To evaluate the stability of the rock slope at and above the VMT – To determine its probability of failure during serious seismic event.
- Availability of detailed geologic data was limited:
– on the rock, rock type, structure, nature and spacing of fractures, shear strength of fractures and of intact rock strength – necessitated additional efforts and expenses
- Action Requested:
– Authorize the Executive to increase the total value of Contract 556.07.01by $2,000. – Authorize an increase of $2,000 in the budget for Project 556 to be taken from contingency.
