By utilising multiple tracking systems in tandem, Kelvin ensures that an asset is never lost.
Reliably locate an asset in any environment via Kelvin’s array of tracking
- systems. GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) utilises navigational
satellites from networks beyond the GPS system, increasing receiver accuracy and reliability. Kelvin’s WiFi positioning system takes advantage of public access points to maximise the visibility of an asset on the network, helping to avoid detection problems faced in closed spaces such as warehouses. Structures in urban areas can cause an obstruction, weakening the quality
- f the signal. Using A-GPS, or Assisted/Augmented Global Positioning
System greatly increases the reliability of the signal by utilising cell tower
- data. Kelvin’s multi-sensor system increases the overall speed and
efficiency, reducing dependancy on battery life.
Real-time Location Tracking
Protect assets with accurate temperature monitoring
With an operating range of -5 to 65 degrees Celsius, Kelvin accurately monitors the temperature of an asset. This temperature data is collected on a minute by minute basis, with updates sent to the cloud every 30 minutes, to minimise the impact of any potential network loss. Real-time data is accessible via the dashboard, with alerts sent via email/sms when an asset experiences a temperature excursion.
Temperature Detection
Monitor the safety and security of an asset during transit
Kelvin’s light and shock sensors enable the user to take the appropriate actions to protect an asset’s security. Along with an accelerometer to monitor for violent shocks, light sensors can detect if a package has been opened during transit. Data is transmitted and stored on the cloud, with real-time visibility on the dashboard.
Light and Shock Recognition
Track data while shipping internationally
Following IATA regulations, Kelvin utilises machine learning algorithms to detect when an asset is in flight. During this time, the device enters automatic in-flight mode, while maintaining data storage throughout the
- journey. On landing, Kelvin resumes data transfer.
