Current situation and plans

Radon action plan (RAP)1st phase:

No radon survey. Initial survey was carried out in 1993/1994 -

map with average radon concentration (in houses) in different districts

reference level for radon: Cabinet Regulation No.149

“Regulations for Protection against Ionizing Radiation” (adopted 9 April 2002): buildings, workplaces, water, construction materials and construction products

Plan: to set the authorities for radon measurements and actions;

to start measurements in 2015 and set risk areas; to develop information about radon The national action plan will be developed till 2018 according to the new European Union BSS (Council Directive 2013/59/EURATOM)
