  20. P for PEOPLE - Chapter Members REMEMBER: Recruitment is everyone’s job! ● Delegate to get the job done ● Give each Member the opportunity to contribute ● Help them use their skills, talents and gifts

  22. P for PLACE Think about: ● The room should not be too big but also, not too small. ● Visibility and accessibility ● Make sure to have the proper set-up (furniture, technology, etc.)

  24. P for PROPS ● Tell the story of your Chapter, what you do and who you are ● Help PNMs imagine themselves as part of PSP and your Chapter ● Don’t forget the little things!

  27. 3 Phases of Holding an Event Planning Evaluating Hosting

  28. Identify the Risks 1. Physical - Possible athletic event 2. Reputational - Promoting our ideals 3. Emotional - An event’s impact 4. Facilities - Accessible to all 5. Financial - Reviewing contracts

  29. Event Planning Form (EPF) Submit form at least 30 days prior to an event if: 1. an agreement/contract will be signed 2. Evidence of Insurance 3. Animals 4. Athletic Activity (competition and/or time-keeping) 5. Transportation arranged by third-party vendor or attendees phisigmapi.org/planningform

  30. Budgeting 1. Approve fiscal budget for each committee 2. Ensure reimbursement policy and form in place 3. List anticipated and actual expenses

  31. Good to Great 1. Heighten exposure 2. Thank you notes 3. Evaluate

  32. Start taking your Good to Great! Search for email and Twitter handle of: 1. University/College President 2. University/College Provost 3. Campus Newspaper 4. Local, Community Newspaper 5. 3 Campus Orgs that would be good partners. Other PFA groups?
