  2. 2015 Influenza Immunisation Programme Programme Goals • Improve influenza immunisation coverage for those: - at high risk under 65 years (including pregnant women) - 65 years and over • Improve healthcare worker influenza immunisation coverage • Achieve 1.2 million doses distributed annually

  3. 2015 Influenza Immunisation Programme • Two new influenza strains added to the vaccine - A/Switzerland/9715293/2013 (H3N2)-like virus - B/Phuket/3073/2013-like virus - A/California/7/2009 (H1N1)-like virus • Programme started late on 26 March 2015 • Ministry of Health Communications Strategy included: - informing the health and government sectors - advising DHBs/PHOs to: - consider the impact of H3N2 on their winter planning - review their vaccinator capacity
