We are very grateful for the commitment and contribution from our previous co-chair Andreas Schiller (CSIRO) who was one of the central drivers for the establishment of GOV after GODAE. He chaired GOV from 2009 together with Eric Dombrowsky who left GOV in 2014.

GOVPO financial situation
- Now
- Funds are at a good level, future of
PO more stable, sponsors have committed to renewed and/or increased funding
- Future
- Need to continue to monitor sponsor contributions and flag up problems
early.
- Protect PO funding and seek additional support if TT activities or GOV events
(e.g. symposium) need funds
- Consider investing in improving GOV facilities, e.g. website
- Two years ago
- PO funds were very low, future of PO was uncertain, sponsors had
reduced their support or stopped altogether
