Who We Are
Eco-Modus is a 100% portuguese company established in 2008 to acquire one of the main references of the industry of recovering and valorization of waste. Past 8 years the company has reached a volume sales over 24000k€. Eco-Modus dedicates itself to three main areas of business, with the support of a technical and a management team who has great knowledge about the recycling business. These three main areas are complementary between them:
1. THERMOPLASTICS POLYMERS RECYCLING 2. STANDARD POLYMERS RECYCLING 3. NON FERROUS METALS RECYCLING
Eco-Modus develops and trades products that are recognized by
- ur clients for their quality, innovation and environmental
sustainability.
Strategic Objectives
3
Present to the market unique and customized solutions in the area of plastic polymers; Provide recycled raw material of Premium quality at competitive price; Maintain a strong focus on innovation as a changing factor.

Plastic Market’s Data
4
Key Numbers of the European Plastic Industry (EU27)
▶
Provides employment for more than 1,45 Million people
▶
More than 320 Billion € of annual turnover
▶
57 million tons of plastic production
▶
More than 6,6 million tons of plastic waste that has been recycled
▶
Occupies the second place, worldwide speaking, regarding the production of plastic material
Worldwide Plastic Production

Benefits of Recycling
5
The process of recycling plastic polymers has great benefits
▶
Reduces energetic consumptions (process is about 40% more efficient)
▶
Reduces the consumption of a non-renewable energy such as oil
▶
Reduces CO2 emissions
▶
Raises the lifespan of landfills and preserves the environment
▶ 26% of post consumption plastic produced in 2012 has been recycled (6,6 million tons) ▶ 36% has been incinerated for power generation ▶ 38% has gone to landfills

Benefits of Recycling
6
Plastic recycling saves two times more energy than burning it into an incinerator. Recycling one ton of plastic saves the equivalent as 3500 l to 7000 l of fuel. Oceans are considered the planet’s biggest landfills. Plastic represents 90% of that waste. Recycling one ton of plastic saves the equivalent in energy use of a 2 people household for a year. About 10% of petrol consumed in the world is used directly or undirectly in plastic production.
➔ Currently the recovery and recycling of plastic isn’t enough. ➔ Millions of tons of it end in sanitary landfills and oceans every single year.

PLASTIC POLYMERS RECYCLING
▶ This unit allows the exploitation and appreciation of plastic waste with diverse origins. It does so through it’s separation, purification, recovery, filtering and possible inclusion of additives and
- granulation. This gives the plastic
certain characteristics that permits the substitution of raw materials for recycled materials.
