Artist: Annette Elliot Title: Constellation Origin: Chicago, IL Budget: $34,615 Synopsis: The stars speak to us

  • f our own part in the universe. What

does it mean when we can no longer see them? I propose a site-specific light projection for the National Aquarium in Baltimore. Mapped onto the façade of the glass greenhouse, the public projection will illuminate an urban re-imagining of the cosmos. The projection is sourced from NASA Earth Observatory photographs of the light cities generate at night. I plan to use four HD projectors to carefully map the digital projection onto the architectural surface.
