What is a post settlement governance entity (PSGE)?

  • PSGE will receive and then manage the

settlement package – this is a Crown requirement

  • PSGE will also represent NKKWTNAR in

any new relationships with Central and/or Local Government bodies

  • PSGE must be set up before NKKWTNAR

can receive any on account redress and/or the settlement package itself

  • Represent all members of NKKWTNAR;
  • Have transparent decision-making and

dispute resolution procedures;

  • Be fully accountable to the whole of

NKKWTNAR; and

  • Provide that the beneficiaries of the

settlement and the beneficiaries of the PSGE are identical when the settlement assets transfer to the PSGE.

Information booklet & voting forms will be posted out to each registered person (18 years and older) and include the option to either:

  • Post back your response, or
  • Secure ballot at ratification hui, or
  • Will include an identification number

and password to vote on the internet.

PSGE Ratification

Alternative Holding Entity

Voting can be by either postal, online or ballot at one of the ratification hui or Special General Meeting. The voting forms will be sent out to all registered eligible beneficiaries

  • n date (TBC). It will have both ballot papers for postal return, and a

password for internet voting. You can use either one. All voting closes at 5pm, date (TBC) at the conclusion of the Special General Meeting. This includes postal, internet and ballot. It is best to mail the postal votes back by date (TBC) within Aotearoa, earlier if overseas.

I, as a member, of Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmaki Nui ā Rua, agree that Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmaki Nui ā Rua Settlement Trust will be the post- settlement governance entity to receive and manage the Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmaki Nui ā Rua historical Treaty of Waitangi settlement redress.
