• Bid Highlights

– Major bid item elements include, but are not limited to:

• Installation of four hardened structures (drop

structures, grade control structures

• Installation of two new ported risers
• Relocation of stormwater line outfall (remove existing,

remove pipe, and reconstruct outfall)

• Significant grading to create sediment retention basins

and desired channel geometry

• Landscaping within structures and other areas of site

(SWPPP)

– The project SWPPP is posted on our website – The successful bidder will need to file a Notice of Intent (NOI) for the project with the EPA. SSCAFCA will also file an NOI as the owner – No work on project shall commence until the mandatory waiting period after filing the NOI is complete

– All bidding documents, including plans, specifications, reports, and addenda will be posted to www.sscafca.org.

• If you are having issues downloading the files, please

pick up a CD containing all the files after this meeting.

– Check this website for addenda to the bid. It is the bidders responsibility to check the website for

• addenda. SSCAFCA will not send notifications.

– Last day to submit written questions is February 4, 2015 by 5:00 PM

• Submit all questions via e-mail to dcasaus@sscafca.com
• Please put “Question – IFB 2015-01, Lower Montoyas WQF

construction” in the subject line.

– SSCAFCA will post responses to written questions on web page (www.sscafca.org ) by Monday, February 9 by 5:00 PM – Any addenda will be issued by SSCAFCA by Monday, February 9 by 5:00PM. Addenda will be posted to the website. Aside from posting to the website, no notification will occur. – Bids are due to SSCAFCA by 3:00 PM on Thursday, February 12, 2015

• All forms are provided in the bid package
• Failure to submit any of the required attachments will be grounds for deeming bid

non-responsive

• Make sure prime AND subcontractors (not suppliers) are currently registered with

the Department of Workforce Solutions

• Make sure to acknowledge any Addenda on your Bid Form

– SSCAFCA will not be maintaining a formal bidders or plan holders list. – SSCAFCA will be maintaining a listing of interested contractors and subcontractors. This listing is voluntary to get on and will be distributed upon request and/or posted to our website.

• List will be updated and posted on website weekly.

• Desired Project Schedule (after bid)

– Bid opening, February 12, 2015 – SSCAFCA and NMED review of bids hopefully completed by February 17, 2015. Notify lowest responsive bidder. – Obtain SSCAFCA Board of Directors approval of selection on February 20, 2015 – Finalize contract by February 27, 2015 – Issue Notice to Proceed by March 2, 2015 – 120 day construction time has construction being completed in late June 2015
