• ensure that my device is in a safe place when not in use.
• use my device with care and in a responsible way.
• contact my teacher right away if my device is misplaced, lost or broken.
• keep all identification barcodes and labels on the device.
• refrain from adding decorations or personalization. (e.g., stickers, markers,

bling, etc.) to my device.

• respect myself and others in online communities.
• be mindful of my digital footprint.
• keep my passwords and personal information secure and private.
• follow all expectations and guidelines of North Shore School District 112’s

Acceptable Use Policy and school rules when using the Chromebook both at home and at school.

• Chromebooks do not filter content (only when connected to school

Wifi or network)

• Families may choose to utilize parent controls on their home

networks.

• Families are encouraged to have open dialogue with students

regarding safe surfing and strategies if/when they encounter inappropriate content

• Work together to empower students to

self-monitor and make appropriate decisions. Think before I Click

Insurance Requirement

• Enrollment fee of $30 per device (per participating child)
• Fee required for take-home privileges.
• Assistance available for families who qualify for

free or reduced lunch

• $25 deductible for per claim
