A 2014 Australian Council for Education Research

(ACER) report recommended:

changes to achieve greater rigour, new taxonomy and

greater opportunities for students to succeed in study and work life beyond schooling

moving away 100% school based assessment to a model

that will include three(3) endorsed school based assessments (IA) and one(1) external assessment (EA).
