Outcomes: Attendees will identify key areas of Tier 1 and process of implementation. Attendees will brainstorm areas of implementation for their school.
We first heard the music in 2013 ● Our school serves PK-6th grade with average enrollment around 310 in the last 5 years. ● Our school is around 67% free and reduced lunch through direct certification. We are a CEP school at this time. ● We do not have a resource officer. ● We started our PBiS journey during the 2nd semester of 2013-2014.
Two Step Forward School Year 2014-2015 ● Established school wide expectations for common areas ● Developed a major referral system for discipline referrals to the office ● The ISS room was removed
2015-2016 ● We developed school-wide classroom expectations. ● We reviewed our majors and minors ● Tracking prizes and class compliments
School Year 2017-2018 This year started out rocky. We weren’t sure we were going to make it to October. Our teachers met at a Back to School meeting and we discussed why we use behavior sticks and the research behind them. It was decided that all teachers would not use behavior sticks….we struggled!
School Year 2018-2019 We’ve just continued our dance Students have started leading procedure day Made smarts goals based on data
