The Creative & the Elective Curriculum

Creative Curriculum

• Replicates WES curriculum which has been in

place for 8 years

• Focus upon creativity, teamwork, resilience,

personal reflection

• As well as focussing on the Expressive Arts

through links with Royal Opera House’s ‘Trailblazer’ project

• During Monday P6 time
• Opportunity to study topics not part of the ‘normal’

curriculum.

• Pupils will have an element of choice
• In other schools running similar programmes, topics

include:

– Journalism – Astrology – Photography – Entrepreneurship – Sports Leadership – Art History – Global Politics – Sign Language

Extra - Curricular

• Trips & Visits – e.g Team building events at

the Nuclear Races in October, Humanities trip to London, English trip to the Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, West End Performance
