  4. Course Selection ����������������������������� � The course selection form is like a contract � Schools are staffed and timetabled according to the information on these forms � Only those courses that have a sufficient number of students registered will be offered

Advancement/AP ����������������������������� Students are now able to accelerate within the school year in order to incorporate AP classes into their educational program: AP English AP Economics AP Calculus AB AP Physics AP Chemistry AP Computer Science A* AP Psychology AP Macroeconomics AP Biology AP Statistics AP courses offer: � access to rigorous college-level work � exploration of subjects at a deeper level of learning � confidence, time management and study skills � advanced research and communication skills � creative, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Advancement/AP ����������������������������� Benefits of AP: � AP can replace a grade 12 ministry course for graduation � AP class mark/grade can be used as an admission course for university applications in place of a ministry course � Optional AP May exam mark can be used for first year university course credit (4=86%, 5=96%) ie.
