STEP 1 – Teacher Recommendations Classroom teachers are currently completing recommendations for the courses that your student should take next year in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and World Languages. For example: Physical Science or Honors Physical Science

STEP 2 – Student Meetings Olentangy High School administrators and guidance counselors will meet with all 8th grade students to explain the scheduling process. Each student will receive a Schedule Request Sheet. * The Course Planning Guide, which provides course descriptions is available on the OHS website

The Scheduling Process

STEP 3 – Online Course Requests Between January 13th at 8:00 AM to January 22nd at 9:00 PM, students will have access via PowerSchool to enter course requests after reviewing the Course Planning Guide on the OHS webpage.

*Step by step instructions will be posted on Schoology.

STEP 4 – The Scheduling Conference After each student has completed their online course requests and the Schedule Request Sheet, he/she will meet with their counselor for a brief, individual scheduling conference to review their selections. OLMS - Jan. 23rd 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM OSMS - Jan. 24th 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Course Request Changes Any changes to the initial course requests must be received no later than April 15th. See your middle school counselor with changes until March 27th (Spring Break) and contact your high school counselor after. As a reminder, the sooner a concern is addressed, the more likely that a suitable solution will be available for you.
