All juniors must eat in the main commons or outside on the patio during your assigned lunch period. Students CANNOT leave campus for lunch. (You can only have one lunch – I see you) Breakfast is served in the commons starting at 7:00 AM and ending at 7:18 AM. All students are expected to be in class by the 7:25 AM tardy bell every day.

Students can only leave campus (without a parent) for the reasons below:

  • Going to Miller Career Center
  • Early Release before 6th period or before 7th

period

Leaving campus without permission is considered Truancy and will be punished as such. Students who leave campus without permission and then return are subject to being searched.

Only qualifying juniors can apply for late arrival/early release.

  • Late arrivals start school at 2nd period
  • Early Release is after 6th period
  • Double Early Release is before 6th period
  • Must enter building through exterior doors by

fieldhouse

Late Arrival students must report to the commons when they arrive to school. Early Release students must leave campus immediately at the appropriate time of their release.

  • A student is considered tardy when the student is not in the

class room when the tardy bell rings.

  • Tardies are counted per six weeks

 1st-6th tardy - documented  7th–9th tardy - After School Detention/ Parent Contact  10th – 12th tardy – Overnight Suspension  13th - 15th tardy – Saturday Detention  16 + tardy – 2 days ISS / A.P. discretion

 10 x 10 rule is still in effect.  Each teacher will have a standard lanyard to be

worn outside of his or her class. This pass will be for short trips to the restroom and to get water.

 If you do not have the teacher-issued lanyard,

you will be asked to return to class and get it.

 If a you are gone from your class for an

excessive amount of time, the teacher will email

  • Mr. Scrogin with the details. Students who are

gone longer than 20 minutes are truant.

Clothing may not depict or display inappropriate topics/pictures such as, but not limited to, alcohol, drugs, obscene subjects, etc.

Headgear is not allowed indoors except in the interest of religious practices, safety, cleanliness, or with the permission of campus administration.

9 - 2020 20 Morton Ranch High School is committed to preparing our students for their future as well as allowing them to express themselves within the guidelines of the Katy ISD dress code policy. The following are some guidelines in order for students, staff, and guardians to understand the expectations at MRHS.

  • Refusal to change clothing (when in violation of the

dress code) will result in immediate ISS placement for that day..

members can download the SpeakUP app from the Google Play or Apple Store. SpeakUP is also available online and will be linked to every Katy ISD webpage.

  • Allows students, parents, and community members a truly

anonymous way to report a wide range of concerns including: Bullying, threats of violence, drug use, dating violence, weapons, mental health concerns, as well as many other concerns

  • Allows anonymous reporters the opportunity to attach

screenshots, videos, photos, or audio to their report.

  • Allows staff members and reporters to communicate anonymously in real

time through push notifications within the mobile app.
