  8. PURPLE OUT! Purple le Out shirts ts are $12. 2.00: 00: 12 th Grade Office (Room #2621) Buy yours now before they run out! Students wearing a 2019-2020 Purple Out Shirt will gain entry in to all Pep Rallies (With the exception of the “Black Out” Pep Rally)

  9. Breakfast is served in the commons starting at 7:00 AM and ending at 7:18 AM . All students are expected to be in class by the 7:25 AM tardy bell every day. All juniors must eat in the main commons or outside on the patio during your assigned lunch period. Students CANNOT leave campus for lunch. (You can only have one lunch – I see you)

  10. Students can only leave campus (without a parent) for the reasons below: ● Going to Miller Career Center ● Early Release before 6th period or before 7th period Leaving campus without permission is considered Truancy and will be punished as such. Students who leave campus without permission and then return are subject to being searched.

  11. Only qualifying juniors can apply for late arrival/early release. ● Late arrivals start school at 2nd period ● Early Release is after 6th period ● Double Early Release is before 6th period ● Must enter building through exterior doors by fieldhouse Late Arrival students must report to the commons when they arrive to school. Early Release students must leave campus immediately at the appropriate time of their release.

  12.  A student is considered tardy when the student is not in the class room when the tardy bell rings.  Tardies are counted per six weeks  1 st -6 th tardy - documented  7 th – 9 th tardy - After School Detention/ Parent Contact  10 th – 12 th tardy – Overnight Suspension  13 th - 15 th tardy – Saturday Detention  16 + tardy – 2 days ISS / A.P. discretion

  13.  10 x 10 rule is still in effect.  Each teacher will have a standard lanyard to be worn outside of his or her class. This pass will be for short trips to the restroom and to get water.  If you do not have the teacher-issued lanyard, you will be asked to return to class and get it.  If a you are gone from your class for an excessive amount of time, the teacher will email Mr. Scrogin with the details. Students who are gone longer than 20 minutes are truant.

MRHS HS Dress ess Code de Expec ecta tati tions ons 2019 9 - 2020 20 Morton Ranch High School is committed to preparing our students for their future as well as allowing them to express themselves within the guidelines of the Katy ISD dress code policy. The following are some guidelines in order for students, staff, and guardians to understand the expectations at MRHS. Clothing should cover areas as seen in the graphic on  the right: Clothing may not depict or display inappropriate  topics/pictures such as, but not limited to, alcohol, drugs, obscene subjects, etc. Headgear is not allowed indoors except in the  interest of religious practices, safety, cleanliness, or with the permission of campus administration.   16.  Corrective action (change clothes) 1 st Offense.  Subsequent violations disciplinary consequences will be assigned.  Refusal to change clothing (when in violation of the dress code) will result in immediate ISS placement for that day..

  17.  In the classroom – Each teacher will determine how cell phones may be used in the classroom each day.  1 st Offense- Conference with student and parent, ASD  2 nd Offense- ONS (Over Night Suspension)  3 rd Offense- ISS

  18.  Students are discouraged from bringing items of value to school regardless of whether they are prohibited or not (i.e. expensive clothing items, jewelry, large amounts of money, electronic devices, etc.)  Your personal property is YOUR responsibility.  The school is not responsible for and cannot be held accountable for these types of items if they are damaged, lost, or stolen.

  19. All students ents are required ed to we wear a Katy ISD issued ued ID. IDs must be worn and v visible e at a all times. If you have lost or forgott tten your permanent ent ID, you will be require red d to wear a temporary rary ID w which can b be purchased sed for a dollar. . If you do n not have the dollar, , your name will be placed on a holds s list which will r result t in r restri tricti tion ons s from events ts (Homecom oming g Dance, Exemptio tions, s, etc.) until your fees es are paid in full. Replacem ement ent IDs will cost $3.

  20.  Parking Stickers can be picked up in office 2251before and after school. Must Have Valid Drivers License 1. Current Insurance Card with your name included on the card 2. Cash $40.00 3. Application on file. 4. We will start booting cars next Monday.

SpeakUP will be the new anonymous reporting tool for Katy ISD. •Allows students, parents, and community members a truly anonymous way to report a wide range of concerns including: Bullying, threats of violence, drug use, dating violence, weapons, mental health concerns, as well as many other concerns •Allows staff members and reporters to communicate anonymously in real time through push notifications within the mobile app. •Allows anonymous reporters the opportunity to attach screenshots, videos, photos, or audio to their report. •Students, staff, parents, and community members can download the SpeakUP app from the Google Play or Apple Store. SpeakUP is also available online and will be linked to every Katy ISD webpage.
