Yanchep Rail Extension and Thornlie-Cockburn Link Alliance update
- NEWest Alliance has been announced as the successful consortium that
will deliver the Yanchep Rail Extension and the Thornlie-Cockburn Link
- NEWest Alliance comprises of CPB Contractors and Downer
- The NEWest Alliance will now develop their construction schedule and
prepare their local workforce ahead of contract signing this month
- Main construction works will start mid-2020
Bayswater Station Upgrade
- Two Preferred Proponents announced
- Alliance Development Stage proposals submitted
- Evaluation of the proposals will continue into early
2020
- Contract award early 2020
- Contract awarded for car park works at Meltham
and Ashfield stations
Denny Avenue Level Crossing Removal
- First crossing to be removed under the METRONET Level

- Early works are underway
- Rail package tender evaluation underway with contract award in

Mandurah Station Multi-storey car park
- Design and Construction tender closed early December. Tender
includes construction of the temporary car park
- Award of the tender is expected by February 2020
- Construction is expected to

- Seven companies submitted bids
Lakelands Station
- The project will include a station entry building with a pedestrian
- verpass connecting two marginal platforms set in an existing
cutting as well as a car park, Kiss n Ride, cycling facilities and a bus interchange
- Traffic modelling will be undertaken to inform road modifications for
bus movements

Tonkin Gap project update
- The project will provide a minimum of three through lanes of highway
between Collier Road and Dunreath Drive, including new bridges, shared paths and pedestrian overpasses
- Enabling works for the Morley-Ellenbrook Line along Tonkin Highway
between Railway Parade and Hepburn Avenue, where the works and associated traffic management overlap both projects
- Currently at RFP stage with two shortlisted proponents
- Closing March, 2020

The PSUP scope includes:
- Upgrade to the current signalling
system to enable more frequent services (15 tph or every 4 minutes in peak)
- Upgrade to lengthen platforms to
allow operation of 6-car trains
