  3. Computing Summary Data Collected: Job Success Rate: CPU Efficiency: August 1, 2019 S. Berkman 3

  4. Summer Shutdown • Collecting 16 Hz cosmic data. • Staffing 24 hour shifts. • MiniBooNE turned off July 17 • Laser calibration data collected July 22-24. • Possibility for more later in the summer. • Power outages • Off July 31-August 2, and August 27-28 to accommodate outages at LArTF New BES, Current BES, New RWM • New BES and RWM beam signals from AD • Remove old hardware • Working to implement delay to match previous BES signal used to trigger. August 1, 2019 S. Berkman 4

  5. Summer Shutdown Cryo Work • Argon purity related work TPC Pulse Heights Plane 2 • Purged and refilled external dewar Pulse height (ADC) plane_2_Pulse_height plane_2_Pulse_height May Fill July Fill 95 • Small drop in TPC pulse heights and PMT rates around cryostat fills 90 June Fill • First fill after dewar purge last week, 85 no drop in cryostat purity 80 • Stopped analyzing argon in cryostat 75 • Analyzers not sensitive enough to 70 detect impurities observed in TPC • Top off detector every ~1.5 months 65 instead of every 2 weeks 17/04/19 01/05/19 15/05/19 29/05/19 12/06/19 26/06/19 10/07/19 24/07/19 Date • Fewer opportunities to introduce contaminants • Regenerate filters • Recover more quickly in the future if there are contaminants in the argon • Pump replacement • Pump tripped June 7. Restarted manually, and working. • Needs to be replaced annually • Update controls computers to be compatible with Windows 10 August 1, 2019 S. Berkman 5

  6. Physics News • Collaboration meeting July 24-26 • 88 participants • Papers: • “Rejecting cosmic background for exclusive charged current quasi elastic neutrino interaction studies with Liquid Argon TPCs; a case study with the MicroBooNE detector” • arXiv:1812.05679 • Accepted by EPJC • “First Measurement of Inclusive Muon Neutrino Charged Current Differential Cross Sections on Argon at E ν ∼ 0.8 GeV with the MicroBooNE Detector” • arXiv:1905.09694 • Submitted to PRL • Calibration of the charge and energy response of the MicroBooNE liquid argon time projection chamber using muons and protons • arXiv:1907.11736 • Submitted to JINST August 1, 2019 S. Berkman 6
