What to pack?

  • Luggage – please restrict this to one case/rucksack plus
  • ne piece of hand luggage.
  • SLEEPING BAG AND PILLOWCASE.
  • A drinks bottle.
  • Rucksack
  • Wash Bag, toiletries, sun cream (please note, deodorants

must be roll-on, NO aerosols as these may set off the alarms).

What to pack?

  • Old clothes for activity sessions (at least 3-4 sets for 3 days).
  • Light, long-sleeved shirts, trousers / jogging bottoms (NO denim jeans), T-

Shirts and closed-toe shoes are required for nearly all sessions so bring plenty!

  • Lots of underwear & socks (ankle or above). Clothes, shoes and underwear

for other times.

  • Shoes (at least 2 pairs) - 1 for indoor use and 1 sturdy pair.
  • Waterproof jacket (most probably won’t be required).
  • Large plastic bag (or bin bag) for dirty clothes.
  • A towel.
  • Sunglasses, sun cream and hat (for sun protection).
  • Pyjamas and indoor shoes / slippers

Other useful it items

  • Books, playing cards and other quiet activities (nothing

valuable please).

  • Money for snacks (sweets & drinks), souvenirs (i.e.

postcards). Please bring coins not notes, to a maximum

  • f £5.00 per child in a labelled money bag or envelope.

Useful notes

  • No wellies.
  • Please name all clothing thoroughly.
  • Denim jeans are not allowed on any activity.
  • No jewellery (including piercings), except for stud

earrings.

  • A couple of bags of sweets.

Medication

On the SV5 consent form, that you completed earlier this term, there was a section informing the school if your child has medication. Please ensure that all medication is:

  • clearly marked with your child’s name (including the

dosage, times and frequency of it to be administered)

  • is then placed in a labelled, transparent bag (ready to

hand in to their teacher on the day of departure).

Mobil ile phones

  • Mobile phones are NOT allowed, mainly due to

safeguarding reasons.

  • If your child wishes to bring their mobile phone in to

school, on Wednesday morning, they are more than welcome to do so. They will be able to collect from the school office in the usual way, when we return on Friday.

Day of departure

  • Your child should arrive in school at the normal time.
  • Cases and bags should be dropped off in the school hall.
  • We will departing school at around 12pm and should

arrive at Lockerbie Manor between 1:30  2:00pm.

  • Please ensure that your child has a drink and a packed

lunch with them.

  • If your child suffers from travel sickness, please make

sure they have had their medication that morning.

Return journey

  • We will arrive back in school in time for the end of the
  • day. We will be leaving Lockerbie Manor at 1:30pm and

should arrive back at school at roughly 3:00pm.

  • If your child usually catches a bus, but you would prefer

to collect them at 3:30pm, you are welcome to do so – please remember to use the 5 minute drop-off zone.

Finally…

  • Your child will have a brilliant time!
  • They will come home tired and will most probably fall

straight to sleep when they arrive home.

  • Please be assured that your child will be well looked
  • after. If a situation arises, and we need to contact you,

we have all of your details so we can get in touch immediately.
