ii) to follow-up the Baltic Strategy regarding Port Reception Facilities for Ship-generated Wastes and Associated Issues, including adequacy of port reception facilities, mandatory delivery and the "no-special-fee" system
II) Identification of current and emerging issues related to maritime safety and proposals to enhance the safety of navigation with a view to prevent pollution from ships, and in particular:
ii) to consider ways and means to avoid accidents due to the increasing maritime transportation in the Baltic Sea area;

Commission.’

Adopted by HOD 46-2014 The duties of the Group are to: ‘….B. Provide support for the implementation of the HELCOM Baltic Sea Action Plan, Ministerial Declarations and HELCOM Recommendations as well as propose strategies, guidelines and recommendations in the area of its expertise according to the existing priorities as well as requests by the Heads of Delegations and subsidiary bodies.’ To fulfill these duties the Group will: ‘…4. In cooperation with relevant authorities and scientific institutions, address fishing practices which have a potential negative impact on conservation goals and/or threatened or declining species and habitats, especially within coastal and marine protected areas’.

- Poland & WWF Poland to lead + Germany to co-lead (assisting): (i)
‘Best practice in relation to ALDFG and derelict fishing gear and their removal’; (ii) ‘Best practices to reduce the input of ALDFG from commercial and recreational fishing to the Baltic Sea’ -> FISH − WWP Poland is coordinating the project ‘Removal of derelict fishing gear, lost or discarded by fishermen in the Baltic Sea’ − Sweden proposed to change the deadline to 2019 since the
- utcomes from the MARELITT Baltic project are envisaged for
2018 − Swedish PoM includes a measure to reduce the input of ALDFG from commercial and recreational fishing in Swedish waters
