The Legacy Residents Association was created for the homeowners of Legacy, with the intent of augmenting the lifestyle in Legacy. The goal is to create a home base for living rather than only owning a home, through creating an attractive atmosphere and increasing the community interaction.

WHO IS A MEMBER?

Every Legacy Resident is part of the Residents Association and each household has one vote for any issue put forward at the Legacy Residents Association Annual Meeting This includes all homes in Legacy including single family and multifamily homes

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Volunteer Board will have between 5 and 7 members Currently the board is made up of Bravin Goldade Duncan Smaill Jared Goldade ______________ ______________ These positions are decided by way of nominations, two Residents are needed to Join the Board As more and more of Legacy is built the Board of Directors will be transitioned into more resident seats. West Pine Creek Developments reserves the right to appoint a certain number of Directors to the Residents Association, based on the remaining inventory.

HOW DO I JOIN?

  • This volunteer role entails a two year minimum term
  • Attending Board of Director’s meetings every quarter and the AGM
  • Voting on overall decisions for the Legacy Residents Association with

the community in mind

  • Nominations - If you are interested please submit your resume and

cover letter to info@legacyresdients.ca

  • Elections - If there is a large number of applicants, then the top 10

applicants as decided by the existing Board of Directors will be posted

  • n legacyresidents.ca for a vote.

WEST PINE CREEK DEVELOPMENTS

Currently West Pine Creek Developments will contribute the resources and facilitation/ planning for any organization of community activities and facilitated land maintenance for the Residents Association after the FAC is completed. In the future a staff member may potentially be hired by the Legacy Residents Association to manage it’s day to day operations through the decision of the Board of Directors

COMMUNITY GARDEN

  • The community garden will be available to all of the families of Legacy. The

community garden will rented as individual plots to residents. The Garden will be managed by the Residents Association.

  • The funding for building this Garden will be completed by the developer as promised

and the ongoing maintenance to the garden will be paid for via the plot rental rates.

  • Installation date?
  • The community garden will be installed as part of the 2017 development

program, the timing is so we coincide with a growing season and have all approvals in place with the City.

Plots will be available for a single year with the chance to renew one additional year After this, your plot will be filled by the next person on the waiting list in order to ensure that the entire community may enjoy the Garden If you are interested in having a plot please visit the Legacy Residents Association Website in January 2017 for more details of how to join

Within Legacy, a 4 acre site has been dedicated for a future community association. This site is dedicated as City of Calgary park space This site is available to a future community association through the City of Calgary

COMMUNITY AMENITIES

The Residents Association with the developer is exploring mechanisms for the establishment of potential future amenities within this site Prior to construction of any future amenities, the Residents Association would consult it’s members on what those amenities would be i.e. Tennis Courts, Hockey Rinks etc. Unfortunately more information is not available at this time however will be distributed as it comes available.

WHAT IS AN FAC?

  • A Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) is granted by the city of Calgary after the

developers maintenance responsibilities have been met.

  • What does this mean for Legacy?
  • On a phase by phase basis the maintenance responsibility will be handed over

to the City of Calgary

  • The Residents Association may decide to assume the increased maintenance
  • ver and above the City at that point

WHAT IS THE CITY’S ROLE?

  • The City of Calgary is responsible for a variety of maintenance activities including:
  • Maintenance of light standards, including bulb replacement
  • Street snow removal
  • Parking enforcement
  • Broken or distressed trees on boulevards
  • Parking of recreational vehicle concerns
  • All traffic signals and signage
  • Sidewalk and roadway repairs
  • Maintenance of green space within the community
