The BRODA app is a modular seating system, ergonomically designed to work in harmony with Comfort Tension Seating to promote a balanced posture. Posture improvements lead to better pressure redistribution, and better outcomes. The BRODA app is a no maintenance, easy to use system. It is made with high-specification foam, structured in various configurations and grades of firmness that are ergonomically positioned to address skeletal weighting zones and static forces. The components of the BRODA app are covered with soft, 4 way-stretch fabric that is breathable and waterproof.
Available only from Broda, the BRODA app has been designed for use specifically with Comfort Tension Seating for the Broda family of Positioning and mobility chairs. BRODA app is available as an on-chair option for new BRODA chairs, such as the Elite, Midline or Pedal Rocker. It is also available as an aftermarket cushion for existing Broda chairs..
BRODA app features and benefits include: An anatomically designed seat cushion that helps create a neutral pelvic orientation and improves spinal alignment and centering. The waterfall front enhances positioning by supporting the thighs while reducing stress on the vascular structures behind the knee. The Immersive posterior helps to reduce pressure on the ischial and coccygeal areas. Working together with Comfort Tension Seating and tilt repositioning, pressure redistribution is maximized.
BRODA app features and benefits include: A contoured back to help center the torso and provide lumbar support for comfort, correct spinal curvature and erect posture. Elevated side edges, to assist with centering and alignment. An immersive foam design, which conforms to boney prominences such as the spine, sacrum and scapula for unsurpassed pressure reduction
The BRODA app head support section features an independent pillow which can be positioned at the optimal individual comfort level behind the neck curvature. The edges are elevated, to aid with centering the head during use.
The unique BRODA app calf and foot support gently shapes itself to the leg contours, while the wedge design allows for heel accommodation and offloading. The edges are elevated, to aid with centering the lower extremities for a more comfortable seating position Feet are maintained in the proper position , thanks to the no-skid foot surface, which resists slipping
For BRODA chairs with lateral supports, the optional padded wing covers provide protection from extreme head or limb movements that result in contact with the lateral supports.
