  3. High School Minimum Graduation Requirements A minimum of 24 credits are required for high school graduation in the Bellevue School District. Students earn a 0.5 credit for each class each semester. Additional graduation requirements are listed below. – minimum cumulative 2.0 grade point average (GPA) (Athletic/Activity eligibility also requires a 2.0 GPA) – minimum of 40 hours of Community Service – pass Smarter Balance English Language Arts (ELA), Smarter Balance Math & WCAS Science Tests. – High School & Beyond Plan

  4. 2023 Graduation The 3 rd credit of science and the Requirements: 3 rd credit of math are chosen by the student and are based on the student’s interest and High School and Beyond Plan, and approved by the parent or guardian, or, if the parent/guardian is unavailable or does not indicate a preference, the school counselor or principal. Personalized Pathway Requirement (PPR) are related courses that lead to a specific post high school career or educational outcome chosen by the student based on the student’s interests and the High School and Beyond Plan.

Suggestion for Course Selection: If you do NOT plan on doing an Art specific subject (IB Music, IB Film, IB/AP Visual Art) for your IB Diploma in 10 th /11 th grades , we HIGHLY URGE you to select Art courses (music or theater or visual arts or any of these CTE: Photography, Computer Graphics, Metals Technology, Digital Video/Audio or Technical Theater (which also count as Art) in 9 th grade for your two semesters of elective, as this will create the greatest flexibility for your high school plan.

  15. Please Choose Carefully Courses will be offered next year only if enough students register this Spring to fill a class. Think carefully about your choices now so that the courses you want will be available next year. Once your schedule is built, changing your schedule will happen only under extenuating circumstances.

Please Remember… …TO GO ONLINE ( StudentVue) AND COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION BEFORE YOU MEET WITH A COUNSELOR! …to include 2 or more alternates for EACH elective …to choose carefully – “you want it, you got it, you keep it” …to keep your course selection challenging and balanced …to contact your CURRENT counselor if you have any questions about the registration process or specific classes that you should take

  21. Suggestion for Sports: Schedule a sports/medical physical sometime this spring or summer with a doctor if interested in participating in a sport in 9 th grade. This will be good for 2 school years. This is the most difficult part of the sports paperwork/process to do in a timely manner for you to be eligible to try out on time.

  22. Fall Sports Forms Students participating in Fall Sports must have sports forms and fees turned in by mid-August. Football is due end of May. Summer office hours begin August 1 st from 9:00-3:00. Practice Starts: – Football August 21 – Volleyball August 26 – Girls’ Soccer August 26 – Cross Country August 26 – Boy’s Golf August 26 – Girls’ Swim & Dive August 26 – Boys’ Tennis August 26 – Water Polo August 26 Cheer & Drill tryouts are this Spring, April 22
