UNITY

The profession needs unity now to defend the PE license, exactly like it did at the founding to enact PE licensure in all states. If PE licensure is eroded in just one state, even the smallest state, the tide could turn in every state.

Integrated

  • NSPE as a whole will be more effective,
  • We unify and focus NSPE on the challenges that the profession faces.
  • We end the fragmentation and confusion created by state only membership,
  • We heal past operational issues and decisions and recommit to the unity of

NSPE as designed in the mission in 1934 and moving the organization forward, and

  • We stand together and face obstacles as a single force,

Integrated

Membership = $299 in every state

  • States provided distribution based on their capacity for

providing services

  • NSPE fills in the gaps with additional services and provides

economy of scale in large efforts such as billing, data management, and website management.

  • States take on responsibilities based on the tier assigned, higher

tiers have more responsibilities – and receive more revenue.

NYSSPE was placed in the High capacity tier. Member Impact Current member dues total $373 (NYSSPE receives $219)

Members dues will be decrease $74. And still receive the same value.

Society Impact As part of the integrated model NYSSPE would receive $9 less per member, chapters will continue to receive $25 per member. HOWEVER we believe membership numbers can be increased at this lower price and look forward to encouraging former members to rejoin.
