Søren was responsible for Energinet.dk’s Open Season 2009 and the EU-recovery programme funded investments towards Ellund. His current focus is on securing the German infrastructure investments needed by the Swedish-Danish gas market, new renewable gases, a new emergency supply set-up and international cooperation with European gas market players. Margot Loudon began her career with the gas industry in 1984 in the capacity of Financial Analyst with British Gas plc. Seconded by British Gas to Brussels in 1986, she worked in the Secretariat of Comité d’Etudes Economiques Gaz, and was appointed Deputy Secretary General in 1990
- f EUROGAS, then the organization representing integrated gas sector
- interests. Therefore Ms. Loudon has participated in the debate on the
internal gas market since its inception in late 1980s, working with the gas companies in Europe, in close contact with policy makers of the Commission and European Parliament. In more recent years, Ms. Loudon’s work has embraced not just strategic considerations argued by the gas sector (today from the wholesale and retail supply perspective), but the highly technical regulatory issues discussed, notably by the Madrid Forum, and in dialogue with CEER and ERGEG, giving her understanding of policy makers’ objectives as well as a detailed working knowledge of companies’ interests and concerns.
