Timeline

• Monday, July 23
• Restricted access to Neutrino Campus
• Removal of south wall of SBN-FD building; temporary plastic wall
• Emmert assembly of Goldhoeffer trailer, gantry cranes, etc.
• Thursday, August 2
• ICARUS cold vessel 1 moved from stands to Emmert motorized, articulated trailer
• Installation of rigging on gantries
• Sunday, August 5
• Trailer driven under gantries, both gantries rigged to vessel
• Vessel lifted, trailer removed, vessel lowered to skate track
• Vessel “skated” south on skate track
• Wednesday, August 8
• Alignment reflectors installed on vessel 1, vessel skated south to end and attached to south building

crane, left overnight supported by skate track and cribbing

• Trailer was moved under cold vessel 2

Timeline

• Thursday, August 9
• Vessel 1 attached to north building crane, vessel lifted, positioned over landing on west side
• f “warm box”
• While lowering found had to rotate around long axis since west wall of “warm box” had tilt

inward at top

• Lowered to final position with help of “foot cameras”
• Saturday, August 11
• Vessel 2 rigged with gantries, put on skate track, trailer removed, skated into building
• Monday, August 13
• South end of vessel 2 rigged onto south building crane, north end rigged onto south gantry,

alignment lasers installed

• Tuesday, August 14
• North end of vessel 2 rigged onto north building crane, vessel lifted north and east to final

position, lowered to final position with help of “foot cameras”
