5.0 Intersection Collision Avoidance System Program (iCASP)

5. Intersection Collision Avoidance System Approach :

• Example of Intersection Collision Avoidance Safety Program (iCASP) in

Lakeland, FL, or similar crash preventative system

• Extend the “All-Red” phase upon prediction of a red-light runner.
• Currently implemented at RLR camera sites only;
• Combination setting serves to prevent any “learning curve” of motorists

taking advantage of the red light extension system.
