Province needs to know exactly where Trail is in relation to their roads, before it can be officially approved.

Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation
- 4. Partnerships
The world's longest winter ultra marathon by fat bike, foot and ski. It follows the historic Iditarod Trail from Knik, Alaska over the Alaska Range to McGrath and to Nome. It takes place one week before the Iditarod Sled Dog Race (late February). Racers have to finish the 350 mile race in a previous year before they can enter the 1000 mile race.

In 2015, no invited guests and participants were self-sufficient. In 2016, CDEM covered out of pocket expenses as well as added costs of food and interpretation. Guests from Travel Manitoba, Eastman Tourism, St. Boniface Museum and CDEM were invited to critique the tour from a paying customer’s perspective. Cadets provided support. Next Step: Business plan.

Heritage Highway Designation
Proposal to the province to have sections of provincial roads designated as Crow Wing Heritage Highway to recognize the first highway in Manitoba. Will be submitted once trailhead signs have been installed.

Georges represented the RM of Emerson-Franklin and was a Board Member of Eastman Tourism
