  2. Session Description A critical element of the student educational experience includes learning beyond the bell. This presentation will highlight the current Out-of-School Time (OST) model used in the Framingham Public Schools (FPS) consisting of before and after school, non-school days, vacation weeks, and summer break from Pre-K through High School. Through district support, engaged community partners, and grant funding, FPS provides many free programs for at-risk youth as well as a fee-based programs with a robust scholarship initiative allowing for financial sustainability and to support equity and inclusive programming. This presentation will provide insight into SEL and curriculum aligned OST programming to improve student growth, financial sustainability, and a powerful approach to family and community engagement.
