Profilometer measurements made by G. Romagnoli (PH-DT) at the EPFL (Lausanne) Pressure test at 160 bars and Helium leak test on the last version of the Reverse Vcr connector were successful.

Orbital welding of small pipes

Orbital welding test on two pieces of pipes with diameter 4mm carried out at CERN was successful. Pressure test at 186 bars: ok

Flex line production

Flex hoses will be delivered at CERN in max 6 weeks Preliminary assembly at CERN:

  • Orbital welding of 4 mm pipes)
  • Insertion of 1/16” capillaries
  • MLI insulation

After receiving the material from Novotek and the pre-assembled rotatable connectors from MPI we can start the final assemblying of the flex lines Starting Week 7 Hopefully for week n.11 or 12 1 flex hose is available at the crystal palace and we could produce the very first flex line

  • n week 10.
