Collaborative Implementation

Engaging all employees in the improvement of workforce integration:

  • drives a culture that values input from employees
  • creates awareness of what others across the organization are focused on and how

these areas relate and/or are distinct

  • highlights areas of consensus or difference in perspectives
  • helps to build shared priorities (improving the chance of “buy-in” by not imposing a

directive)

  • illustrates the processes—and challenges—of workforce integration as they occur.

As relevant dynamics manifest, new insight can direct action

LEILA CLARK is presently an Advocacy Specialist for the Office of Consumer Affairs at the NYS Office of Mental Health. In her work she is involved with outreach to the peer community across 16 counties. She spent several decades in the medical field as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She is graduate of the Social Work Department at Hunter College, fulfilling her dream of becoming a MSW. Leila is a connector. She loves to make community with people and her life’s story of exploring the depths of sadness and hopeless lends a special connection to those who have a shared experience. She does this in remembrance of her son, Peter, who passed from this life before knowing the fulfillment of recovery.
