  13. // NATIONAL EVENTS PROGRAMME • Grow & Develop events • Maximum of 3 years support • £5,000 to £25,000 • 3 Rounds a year (Feb for Aug; June for Jan; Oct for May) • Competitive Programme

  14. // BEACON PROGRAMME • Complements the National Programme • Applicants will have received 3yrs support through the National Programme • Be a strong fit across all aspects of the National Events Strategy • Willing and able to act as a model of good practice to other events

  15. // BEACON CRITERIA 2 out of 3 • 50% of visitors from outwith the local authority area • Generate or have potential to generate around £500,000 economic impact to Scotland • Fill a specific geographic, demographic or sector gap in the Scottish events portfolio 2 rounds per year. Pre-application template 31 August for Jan – June 2019 1 February for July – Dec 2019

  16. // CLAN FUND • Established in 2014 • support growth of clan & clan-related events • expand & enhance the visitor experience and spread the benefits of clan events across the country • Open to clans, clan societies and recognised family gatherings • Welcomes applications from organisations such as community / youth groups with events which bring local communities closer to clan heritage

  18. // CLAN FUND • Events outwith Edinburgh & Glasgow • Funding round held once a year - May to September For events taking place the over following 2 years, R6 for events in 2019 & 2020 • Individual clans can apply for up to £5,000 • Applications endorsed by multiple clans can apply for up to £10,000 • 18 received in 2018 • Round 7 - TBC

  19. // SCOTLAND’S WINTER FESTIVALS • Established in 2010 • £315K fund from Scottish Government • Events taking place November 2018 - January 2019 • Celebrate St Andrews Day, Hogmanay & Burns Night • Opens April & Closes in May • Competitive Funding Programme • 25 applications - 20 supported • 23 events across 17 local authorities
