Process To Date • Athletic Fields Committee • Reviewed fields Town ‐ wide • Consisted of various stakeholder groups • Conclusion was that alternate site was not identifiable but that a Memorial Stadium renovation project would be worth exploring • Turf Field Committee • Goal to determine how best to address the deteriorating Memorial Stadium • Consists of representatives from School Committee, Select Board, Fin ‐ Com, Superintendent of Schools, Assistant Superintendent of School Finance & Operations Town Administrator, Town Director of Development • Have met many times during past year with/without architects to discuss options/phases

Funding • Phase 1 – Synthetic Field and Lighting – Cost Estimate = $1,730,319 • June 2018 Town Meeting ‐ $400,000 for Dartmouth Memorial Stadium Renovation • October 2018 Town Meeting – The School Committee is seeking $1,100,000 to complete phase 1 • Cost beyond appropriation will be supplemented by fundraising and school choice funding
Next Steps • Outreach for Phase 1 • Unanimous votes of the School Committee, Capital Improvement Planning Committee, Finance Committee, and Select Board in support of moving the Stadium Renovation forward • Held a public forum on October 3 rd • Tonight we are seeking funding, to be supplemented by fundraising and school choice funding, from Town Meeting to complete Phase 1 • Establishing an official Memorial Stadium Fundraising Committee • Proceed with additional testing and design • Begin construction of Phase 1 after the fall sports season for completion prior to the 2019 fall sports season
