Dubai Offshore Sailing Club is a non- profit sailing club that promotes the safe practice of the sport of sailing and supports other competitive non- motorised watersports. DOSC prides itself on its engaged and active members that uphold the values of the sport of sailing and its positive impact on society in the United Arab Emirates.
Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC) opened its doors in 1974 with little more than a barasti shade on the beach, a few small sailing boats and a collective desire to promote sailing to all nationalities across the Emirates. Since these humble beginnings, the Club has grown to host some of the best sailing
an active and engaged membership taking part in a busy schedule of over 600 annual race and cruising events every year.

banquets on the beach. In fact, the only thing we can’t control is the weather!
A diverse sport enjoyed by people of all fitness levels and ages, the appeal of sailing ranges from the escape of slow- paced cruising to the competitive heat of racing. To be effective, sailing requires teamwork, problem-solving and communication. This is what makes the sport a great way to bring your team together while improving cohesion, building camaraderie and fostering respect. Not to mention the fact that sailing is a fun and exhilerating activity!
To support entry into the sport of sailing, DOSC runs a sailing school with ten full-time fully- qualified instructors. A recognized RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Training Centre, all of our courses follow the RYA syllabus and adhere to stringent safety standards, Open to both DOSC Members and Non-Members, we welcome everyone - from absolute beginners to more experienced sailors who want to hone their skills and increase their certifications.
