The DOSC Story Dubai Offshore Sailing Club ( DOSC ) opened its doors in 1974 with little more than a barasti shade on the beach , a few small sailing boats and a collective desire to promote sailing to all nationalities across the Emirates . Since these humble beginnings , the Club has grown to host some of the best sailing opportunities in the Gulf with the support of an active and engaged membership taking part in a busy schedule of over 600 annual race and cruising events every year .

Learn to Sail at DOSC To support entry into the sport of sailing , DOSC runs a sailing school with ten full - time fully - qualified instructors . A recognized RYA ( Royal Yachting Association ) Training Centre , all of our courses follow the RYA syllabus and adhere to stringent safety standards , Open to both DOSC Members and Non - Members , we welcome everyone - from absolute beginners to more experienced sailors who want to hone their skills and increase their certifications .
