Background
1975 Business started selling fancy goods and watches to coastal areas with a turnover of £500,000. 1990 Moved to new offjces on Waterloo road in Manchester and started distributing batteries after a fellow exhibitor left a few samples on our stand to sell. 1996 Became an offjcial distributor for Duracell batteries. 1997 Became an offjcial distributor for Energizer & Panasonic. 2003 Moved into a 45,000sq ft distribution centre in Trafford Park and successfully carried out a £16.1M management buyout. Sales now reached over £28M. 2005 260 million batteries sold into 3,600 live accounts across Europe. 2009 Signed an exclusive licence to produce Eveready light bulbs. 2010 Purchased online business Batteryforce.com based in Kent. 2010 JCB batteries licence was agreed and signed. Now 3% of market share. 2011 Introduced an indoor and outdoor lighting collection. 2013 Signed an agreement to distribute Philips Batteries. 2013 Launched KiK Liquids with 80 fmavours and 4 strengths of nicotine. 2014 Signed an international license for Energizer to produce LED Lighting. 2014 Extended the site to over 230,000 sq ft. 2014 Now have 20% share of the battery market. 2015 TV campaign for KiK Electronic Cigarettes featuring Vinnie Jones. 2015 Introduced 88vape. 2015 Selling over 100M light bulbs. 2015 Opened our own manufacturing plant in the UK, producing e-liquids. 2016 Signed an international licence to produce Energizer branded light fjttings. 2017 Increased the e-liquid factory production to 2.8M bottles a month and now producing for major companies and high street retail. 2017 Turnover approaching £90M. 2017 Signed an exclusive licence to produce JCB light bulbs internationally. 2018 Investing in a brand new e-liquid facility to have the capacity to produce 12m bottles each month, with the aim of being the largest producer in volume in the world.
