UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA (UC) • Application is on-line • Filing period: November 1 st -November 30 th • Requires essay statement(s) • SAT or ACT • No letters of recommendation • No transcripts needed (unless specifically requested) • $70 fee • Based on selectivity due to impaction • Apply broadly: Eligible students have 80 % chance of being accepted to a UC ( not necessarily their top pick, though) if they apply to 4 or more!

CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY (CSU) • Filing period Oct. 1 st -Nov. 30 th SAT or ACT • • NO Essay, NO letters of rec, NO transcripts needed • No space to list extracurricular activities • $55 application fee • Eligibility Index: • GPA X 800 + SAT (Verbal + Math) • Most campuses need an EI of 3,000 or above • Nov. is last month to test for SLO, LB, and SD • Non-impacted campuses: Bakersfield, Channel Islands, Dominguez Hills, East Bay, Maritime Academy, and Stanislaus
