COGITA KETmaritime - transfer of key enabling technologies (KETs) to the maritime sector • An interregional Atlantic Area project for strengthening transfer of innovation results • A cooperative network of public and private organizations with scientific as well as industrial background • Exchange experience in R&D, technology transfer and maritime activities • Increase knowledge, identify and exchange good practices and sustainable solutions based on KETs • Facilitating emergence of new products, services and processes in the sector • Fully capitalizing on KETs, leading to more competitive, resilient, efficient and sustainable maritime industries

COGITA KETmaritime – KETs (Key Enabling Technologies) • Include micro and nanoelectronics, nanotechnology, industrial biotechnology, advanced materials, photonics, and advanced manufacturing technologies • A priority for European industrial policy, potential to impact many aspects of the society • The global market for KETs was estimated to be more than EUR 1 trillion by 2015 • KETs deployment will contribute to achieving reindustrialisation, • Provide the basis for transformation of the rather traditional maritime sector (especially SMEs) into a high value one, embracing novel market opportunities developed in a sustainable manner

COGITA KETmaritime • Timeframe: November 2017 - February 2020 • Total Budget: 988,510.40 € • General programme objective: Strengthening the transfer of innovation results to facilitate the emergence of new products, services and processes • Activities / Outputs : - Create awareness about KETs in maritime industry; 5 training Workshops - Mapping of R+D+i KETs entities, Maritime Industrial Users and Technology Transfer Analysis - Future Priorities Roadmapping - 4 Pilot Project Plans - Capitalization, Dissemination and Communication
