How Can Parents Help?  Send your child to school on time each day- consistency is key! Students need routine  Try to avoid early dismissals/ change in pick up  Be sure to send a change of clothes in your child’s backpack  Send in a snack each day  Send in a lunch or purchase a school lunch  Check your child’s backpack each day for important notices  Check the Principal’s blog every Friday for upcoming important dates

How Can I Prepare My Child for Kindergarten? • Independence- take coat off, unpack backpack • Tie sneakers/ shoes • Use bathroom appropriately • Practice letters and sounds • Practice number recognition • Practice colors
