COURSE OUTLINE MODULES Day 1 TIME/ DURATION  Module One: Short Presentation 1 & Positive feedback provided 9:00-10:30 am Initial Presentation Break 15 minutes  Module Two: Introduction and review of the 3 keys to presentation success 10:45-12:00 pm  3 Keys to Success in Understanding how people learn and process information  Business Presentation Understand your perceptions about giving presentations  Discover why you can look forward to giving presentations  Introduction to the 3 stages of presentations: Planning, designing/developing and presenting ( Group work included in this module) Lunch 1 hour  Module Three: Utilizing a variety of planning strategies 1:00-3:30 pm  Plan for Confidence The importance of keeping the audience at the centre of all planning  Establish your core message and build around it  How to analyse your audience and Measuring relevance Break 15 minutes  3:45-5:00 pm Begin to plan for the emotional injection o The introduction to storytelling and humour  How audiences absorb and retain information  Learn to discriminate between entertaining and informative information Group activities and smaller presentation are included in this module Day Two  Module Four: Developing materials YOU are comfortable with 9:00-10:30 am  Design & Develop to Simplicity in Developing material that will have the most effect Build Confidence in You  Slide design that draws your audience to your message and Your Message  PowerPoint as a support not a partner  Use notes that build your authenticity  Develop your materials in a mentally and visually logical way Development and design activities for groups incl in this module Break 15 minutes  Module Five: 10:45-12:15 pm Establish a rapport with your audience before and during your presentation  Presenting Yourself and Present yourself in a way that puts you and your audience at ease.
