Capstone 1 Panel Presentation Location Information
SPRING 2017 (JULY 8-11, 2017)
This document lists the panel presentation locations, dates, times, and group information for candidates registered in the 2017/18 Spring Capstone 1 module. It is important for all candidates to read this document in its entirety. If a group is unable to present during their assigned timeslot due to an extenuating circumstance, they must contact CPAWSB at cpaaccommodations@cpawsb.ca to request an accommodation to change the presentation date and time no later than 3 weeks prior to the scheduled presentation date. All accommodation requests must be accompanied by supporting documentation. Each group is required to bring the following: Any materials needed to present to the panel Name tags for each group member Laptop Any required cords/hookups (HDMI & VGA adaptors will be supplied) Photo ID for each group member The times listed below are in local time. A projection screen will be set up in the presentation room and a projector will be available for use. Candidates should not expect to have an internet connection at their presentation site. The group will be required to sign in when they arrive to their presentation venue. Each group has been allotted a 90-minute time slot with the panel. The approximate itinerary for the 90 minutes will be: 10 minutes to set up 30 minutes to present 15 minutes for panel to ask questions of group 20 minutes for panel to deliberate – the group will be asked to leave the room 15 minutes for panel to provide verbal feedback to group Groups are required to sign in at their location 10 minutes prior to their presentation time and will be given their presentation room assignment. The time that you have been assigned to indicates the beginning of your presentation slot. Please ensure that you arrive at the presentation centre earlier than this time so that you are ready to begin promptly. Please note that CPAWSB will not be providing space for groups to set up or practice prior to presenting. Groups should consider designating one member as a timekeeper, or set up a timer that is visible to all members
- f the group. Groups are free to bring in supplemental items for the panel, such as a copy of your slides or
business cards. The panel will not provide pass/fail results to the group. Unsuccessful groups, however, will be notified by email
- n Wednesday, July 12 of their presentation and will be required to re-present on Thursday, July 13. All re-
presentations are coordinated via video (GoToMeeting) and information regarding the video option will be provided to the unsuccessful groups on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.
